Lot’s of addictive fun for times when you have nothing better to do, or wish you didn’t.

This game is fairly entertaining. The easy level is easy. The medium level is okay. The hard level is moderately hard.
This game does not play full songs, only clips of songs. Occassionally, you get some vocals blasted through the tinny speaker, which adds to the entertainment (only this version has vocals, and only on some songs).
The timing needed for hitting each note is a little tough to figure out, but nothing that can’t be overcome with a little practice.
Overall, this game is okay. It is a fun distraction, just like any LCD handheld version of an actual video game. Any expectations that buying this will get you the real Guitar Hero for much cheaper than a console are simply unrealistic.
If you want a better version of this handheld game, I would recommend the 2nd edition (white).

I gave this toy out as a party favor for my son’s birthday. It looked cute and I thought it would be just like the Wii version of guitar hero. It was a total waste of money. The beats come so slow & the volume is way too low. You don’t get a real clear picture on the screen. I wish I would have purchased a sample before ordering as many as I did. I do not recommend this product, it is no where as good as the actual TV game.
